Painted Resins
This is the classic scale "Cowgirl Poetry" resin sculpted by Kristina Lucas-Francis and painted by myself to a dark sooty dappled bay appaloosa. This was an interesting custom order for Becky Hawkins of NV. Together, she and I rounded up bunches of photos of dappled appaloosas - I wasn't even sure the leopard complex would allow dappling, but it does! So this little mare was painted using a composit of photos of real horses. Needless to say, it was an unusual project for me. Completed August 2006.
