Painted Resins
Donna Chaney's very early, and long, long sold out traditional scale 'Trotting Out' Welsh pony resin. A real cutie, this piece was painted as a custom order for a non-hobby person who used to own a real harness pony of mixed breeding that looked like this sculpture. Painted from photos around or before the year 2001, unfortunately the wife's husband was ill and died just as I was finishing the piece that was to be a surprise gift from her to him in loving memory of that deceased animal! Needless to say, the wife no longer wanted the piece so it was later sold. These days I do not know for certain who owns this piece. He was finished to a chestnut sabino/tobiano and was made to be removeable from his resin and wooden base. Metal shoes were made by hand and added by me.
